The Context

GD Goenka Sec-9 Rohini is a larger, more established institution than several of the other engagements on this page, and the session was scoped accordingly — a POCSO awareness session built to work at school scale, covering the safeguarding obligations expected of an institution with a substantial student and staff population rather than a single classroom or small cohort.

The Approach

This was a staff-facing session, covering teaching, administrative, and support staff rather than students. Given the scale of the institution, we focused heavily on making the reporting pathway concrete and specific to GD Goenka’s own structure — who staff should report to internally, how that connects to the legal reporting chain the Act requires, and how to handle a disclosure appropriately if a child comes forward directly. We also covered recognition — the behavioural and physical signs staff should be alert to — since a reporting obligation is only useful if staff are actually equipped to notice what they’re required to report. Administrative and support staff were included alongside teaching staff for the same reason as at Ambience: the obligation to report sits with every adult in the building, not just those in the classroom.

The Outcome

The session was delivered on 11 July 2026, and GD Goenka Sec-9 Rohini issued a formal gratitude letter the same day. This engagement also matters beyond its own case study entry: it’s one of the confirmed, post-delivery sessions cleared to appear in SafeGen’s organisations strip on the main site, since it meets the standard of being completed, documented, and verified before going live.
