The Context
This engagement stood apart from a typical workplace session because the audience was academic rather than corporate: BA Psychology students at NorthCap University, brought together through Karyashala Foundation. Psychology students bring a different starting point to a POSH conversation than a general workforce does — they already carry some vocabulary around power dynamics, consent, and institutional response, but that theoretical grounding doesn’t automatically translate into knowing how the POSH Act actually structures a complaint, an inquiry, or an Internal Committee in a real workplace they’ll eventually enter.
The Approach
We designed this workshop to meet that specific gap — building on the psychological literacy the students already had, rather than starting from zero, and connecting it directly to the legal and procedural mechanics of the Act: what the law defines as harassment, how an IC is constituted, what due process looks like inside an inquiry, and where students, as future professionals, would sit in that system once they’re employed. The session ran interactively, with discussion built around how theory they’d studied in the classroom maps onto the practical reality of a workplace complaint process.
The Outcome
The workshop was delivered on 19 June 2026, and Karyashala Foundation issued a Certificate of Appreciation the same day, signed by their Director. As with the Jove engagement, this case study rests on that certificate as the documented proof of delivery and value, not on a fabricated participation or satisfaction metric. Running academic-audience sessions alongside corporate and school engagements also demonstrates a breadth to SafeGen’s session design that’s worth foregrounding on this page — the same core legal content, adapted convincingly for three very different audiences.
