The Context
Foundations working across community and outreach programs sit in an unusual position on workplace safety — the team dynamic is often less hierarchical than a corporate office, staff move between field and office settings, and volunteers or part-time contributors add a layer that standard POSH training rarely accounts for. Jove Conscious Foundation approached us needing both halves covered in one engagement: POSH awareness for their team, and POCSO grounding given the child-facing nature of parts of their work.
The Approach
We built a combined session rather than treating POSH and POCSO as two separate bolt-on modules, because for an organisation like Jove the two obligations overlap in practice — the same staff often move between adult-facing and child-facing work in the same week. The session covered what constitutes harassment under the POSH Act, how the complaint and redressal process works, and, on the POCSO side, recognition and reporting responsibilities specific to their field engagements. We kept the format participatory rather than lecture-style, working through realistic scenarios the team would actually recognise from their own work rather than generic corporate examples that wouldn’t land with a foundation audience.
The Outcome
The session was delivered on schedule in June 2026, and Jove Conscious Foundation formally acknowledged it with a signed appreciation letter dated 27 June 2026, issued by their Program Director.
